For the first time in a month Beach Buddies (Caarjyn Ny Traieyn) returns to the south of the Island this weekend for a beach cleaning event at Pooill Vaaish on Sunday morning, June 20th, starting at 10.30am.
We are very grateful to the owners of Pooill Vaaish Farm for their continuing support for our beach cleaning events alongside their home, so please park politely as this is a working farm and please leave space for large farm machinery to pass safely.
All equipment is, as always, provided by Beach Buddies. New volunteers have been turning up at every event since the end of the last lockdown, and we have seen lots of families also taking part regularly. We cater for all ages and a warm welcome awaits.
• This week we are again joining forces with the team from Gaelg who last week rewarded beach cleaners with wonderful home made cakes, tea and coffee at Ballaugh – very much appreciated. They are doing the same again this weekend, and on a number of other events alongside Beach Buddies (Caarjyn Ny Traieyn) in the coming weeks. We are delighted to join forces with Gaelg and help to expand the knowledge of the Manx language.
