BEACHES in the north of the Island will get the attention of Beach Buddies’ volunteers this weekend with an event on Sunday, March 6th at 10.30am meeting at the car park at the Ballaghennie Nature Reserve.
Last week at Fisher’s Hill we had an excellent turn-out of 63 volunteers, including 17 who had never taken part before and all went away with a smile on their faces, so we’re hoping that we might see some more new faces again this weekend in our first visit to the north for some weeks because of the recent bad weather.
If you are new, just come along and say hello. You will receive a warm welcome. We have all the equipment – litterpickers, gloves and bags – and we always give a safety talk to newcomers.
