THE stormy weather still threatens for the weekend, but at the moment we still are planning to go to the beaches of Spaldrick and Fleshwick this weekend for our beach cleaning events.
We will have trucks at both beaches from 10.30am to 12 noon on Sunday, February 16th, so you have a choice. However, please be aware that parking is very restricted at Fleshwick. If you are arriving after 10.30 then it would make sense to go to Spaldrick (the beach near the entrance to Bradda Glen). A map to find Fleshwick is attached.
We have had loads of reports of large amounts of rubbish being thrown up onto our beaches during this week of extremely high winds, so it could be a busy day!
Beach Buddies is also running a series of events during Half Term week, starting on Tuesday, and we’re planning to host events north, south, east and west.
Tuesday Feb 18: 11am. Ramsey (slipway opposite Rugby Club)
Wednesday, Feb 19: 11am. Castletown Bay (Hango Hill car park)
Thursday, Feb 20: 12noon: Douglas (slipway opposite Broadway)
Friday Feb 21st: 2pm: Fenella Beach, Peel.
