BEACH Buddies travels to Douglas this weekend to tackle the massive amount of rubbish which has collected on the beach during the recent storms.
We will be holding the event on Sunday morning, February 21st, from 10.30am to 12 noon, with a different meeting point this time, due to the ongoing promenade works scheme.
Volunteers are asked to meet at the northern end of the promenade at the slipway opposite the Regency Hotel.
There is a massive amount of rubbish to be collected from amongst the large piles of seaweed, and we advise that wellies might be the best footwear option, or waterproof walking boots. It’s not going to be a day for shorts and trainers!
