The Beach Buddies charity and our thousands of volunteers across the Isle of Man and our colleagues around the world are deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.
We are extremely fortunate in recent years to have received letters from Queen Elizabeth, showing her support for our achievements and sharing her concerns for the environment.
Those treasured messages have even more meaning today, and will always have pride of place.
We had considered postponing our weekend’s activities, but there is no doubt that Queen Elizabeth would have wanted us to continue, and to carry on expanding, not just in the Isle of Man, but via our ever-growing worldwide network.
The world is today talking about the stability, dependability and remarkable public service given to the world by Her Majesty.
In our own small way, Beach Buddies will continue to try to reflect those exceptional qualities now and in the long-term future.
