BEACH Buddies will travel to Peel this weekend with a volunteer event – open to everyone – meeting at the swing bridge at 10.30am on Sunday morning, November 27th.
We had 54 volunteers last week at Hango Hill, collecting a massive amount of beach rubbish, and a significant amount of commercial fishing gear such as ropes, nets and fish boxes. We will definitely be going back there again fairly soon.
Amongst those, were another nine new faces taking part fo the first time, including one dad and daughter who had travelled all the way from Andreas. They said they enjoyed themselves much more than expected and left with smiles on their faces!
New volunteers are always made particularly welcome. The forecast is fairly good for Sunday (sunny spells, 13C, a bit windy, showers later in the day) so please come along if you can, especially if you’ve never been before.
