BEACH Buddies would like to pay tribute to the wonderful Debbie Pitts who sadly passed away this week.
Debbie was a really genuine and lovely person who will be very sorely missed by so many people, especially the people of Douglas where she was a hard working Councillor and honoured as being appointed Mayor for 2017-18.
She was very kind and supportive of Beach Buddies and hosted a very special evening for a group of our volunteers in 2018 at Douglas Town Hall (as shown in our photograph) which none of us will ever forget. And Debbie subsequently joined us in a series of local community clean-up events including Anagh Coar school, setting the very best of examples to our community.
Debbie was genuine, honest, intelligent and – more than anything else – a really fine person and someone people wanted to spend time with because she was such a truly very decent person whose chief aim in life was the genuine and real desire to do her very best for the community..
We will miss you very much Debbie. Thank you for being so kind to Beach Buddies. This is a very sad loss for the Isle of Man.
