FOR the first time in many months Beach Buddies returns to Niarbyl this weekend with a volunteer event on Sunday, November 8th, starting at 10.30am, finishing at 12 noon.
This stunning piece of coast is suitable for all ages, as there is an easily accessible area of beach close to the thatched cottages, whilst the more agile can walk along to the beautiful White Beach.
We want to say how much we appreciate the ongoing support of the local residents in Dalby for their encouragement, especially local landowner Priscilla Mayall and her neighbour Tim Hewson who help us in storing and collecting the rubbish collected from White Beach.
As always at Niarbyl, we will be providing refreshments afterwards from the beautiful Knockuskey cottage for which Beach Buddies has an ongoing lease, courtesy of Manx National Heritage.
• Note: Please park politely. With kind permission from the Niarbyl Cafe owners, we can use the cafe’s parking area, particularly the section farthest away from the cafe itself. The cafe serves brilliant food, so volunteers might want to make a day of it and book lunch. But be warned: the cafe is VERY popular and advance booking is advised.
