BEACH Buddies will go to the south this weekend to clean up after severe storms have brought masses of rubbish to the Isle of Man’s beaches.
The venue on Sunday, February 27th at 10.30am is Fisher’s Hill, giving volunteers the choice of tackling a handful of beaches in the vicinity. We have had reports of serious amounts of rubbish, so volunteers can expect to be busy!
As always, everyone is warmly welcome – especially families. Plus dogs with well behaved owners! We provide all the equipment and recycle as much as we can, including plastics, glass, metals and tin cans. Volunteers may wish to bring their own gloves. Garden gloves are ideal.
• We have tried to get to the beach at Glen Maye this last two weeks, but were defeated by the weather. We plan to go there in the near future.
