We are having our traditional Easter break from beach cleaning this weekend, so there’s no event on Easter Sunday. However, we are encouraging all volunteers to use some of your spare time over the holiday weekend to maybe have a clean-up in your local area, or a park, a playground, a forest, a plantation, a footpath. Please take care if you choose anywhere near the road. Children should definitely be supervised at all times. We have free litterpickers for any families interested in getting involved.
Last weekend we kept up our remarkable record for 2022 of seeing new volunteers yet again at our event in Ramsey, with another new family arriving for the first time and thoroughly enjoying the experience.
We had around 70 volunteers on the beach in Ramsey, which was fantastic considering the cold weather. Thank you.
Thank you also for the many many get-well messages and to Lindsay and Michelle for organising Sunday’s event and once again keeping the troops warm and refreshed with hot drinks and snacks.
We are back in action again on Sunday, April 24th and we have a number of big events coming up soon, not least a big campaign for a pre-TT clean-up all over the Island, not just on beaches but everywhere – so that we can welcome our visitors from all over the planet to the world’s cleanest island!
