BEACH Buddies is once again joining forces with our good friends at Breast Cancer Now for the Douglas New Year’s Day Dip at 12 noon.
We broke the record last year, and we’re hoping to do it again this time too. Lots of Beach Buddies volunteers took part last year – some “dipping” for the first time. So please come along and join in. To qualify – you only have to go briefly into the water and touch your toes in the sea, but it’s very tempting to do more! But there’s no need to try to swim across the bay!
We also need volunteers to help, especially beforehand by clearing the beach of seaweed and rubbish. We will be there from 11am, so please come along and join us if you can. If you bring a rake or a garden fork that would be useful. If you can help please let us know by email at [email protected]
