BEACH Buddies is getting involved in a new community campaign designed to tackle the problem of rubbish in the glens, plantations, footpaths, walkways parks and streets of the Isle of Man.
We are teaming up firstly with Laxey & Garff Commissioners in a new venture they are supporting which starts in September where organised clean-up events are hosted by Beach Buddies – the first being in Laxey, followed with events in Lonan and Maughold.
The aim is that this becomes the first in a series of similar organised community clean-up events across the Island. Talks are already underway with other local authorities to stage similar events in the future across the Ise of Man.
