SHORT notice, but we are looking for volunteers to turn up for just a few minutes on Saturday, October 15th, at 2pm at the Laxey Washing Floors to announce the creation of a new project called “River Buddies”.
Following discussions with the Manx Wildlife Trust and DEFA, we have agreed on a new initiative to clean up the Island’s rivers from significant amounts of rubbish which has gathered over many years. Tomorrow will be the official launch. Please join us for just a few minutes to find out what it’s all about and also for an official photograph for the media.
