BEACH Buddies hosts more than 200 events each year and everyone is welcome to join in at any time. We hold events with schools, companies, clubs, families – everyone! We are very happy to also host a private event for family and friends on a beach of your choice – or, if you prefer, a park, a glen, a plantation, a hiking trail – anywhere.
Our regular volunteer event is on a Sunday morning at 10.30am. The venue is announced via our website or social media usually 2-3 days beforehand, so that we go to a beach which is need of cleaning with a team. It lasts a maximum of 90 minutes and we provide all the equipment (gloves, bags and litterpickers). We have public liability insurance and risk assessments, if requested.
More to the point – it’s relaxed, friendly, good fun and you will meet lots of like-minded people of all ages who care about the environment, wildlife and nature. And we do it all with a big fat smile!!

And here’s a challenge – we confidently predict that once you have taken part in an event with Beach Buddies it will change your life for ever! You will not be able to walk past a piece of rubbish in the street again without wanting to pick it up! Look at what has happened in the Isle of Man. It is nothing short of amazing, and a fantastic tribute to our community. And the rest of the world is watching us, and following what we have done, so we are setting a standard better than anywhere in the world!
