WE VERY much like volunteers to bring their families and dogs to beach cleaning events. All are welcome. In particular, we like dogs with well behaved owners!
However, we have had the vary rare occasion when volunteers have brought dogs which have been rather boisterous in the car park, just before they can get to the sand and the sea.
It’s only natural. The dogs are full of energy and excited, and they are dying to get onto the beach. In their excitement they can bound about and it can make some others who are not familiar with dogs to become nervous.
So, if you’re bringing your dog to a beach cleaning session with Beach Buddies please continue to do so, but also please be aware that some people are not familiar with dogs and can be a little nervous.
Please keep them under control and on a lead until you get well down onto the beach, and then everyone – including the dogs – will be very happy.
