BEACH Buddies is honoured to be asked to play a major part in the tour of the Queen’s Jubilee Baton around the Isle of Man on Wednesday, June 15th – and all Beach Buddies volunteers, friends and families are invited to take part.
Beach Buddies’ founder Bill Dale will pick up the baton from Neil Keig from the Viking Longboats at 1pm and there will follow a unique beach cleaning session all around Peel, on the beaches, around the castle and on Peel Hill.
It will all be filmed, and the media will be in attendance for what is believed to be a unique occasion – the first time that such a baton has been featured in a beach cleaning event.
Everyone is invited to come along and join in if you can. We will meeting at the Fenella Beach car park from 12.30pm. We expect parking will be at a premium so please get there early if possible. We would love to see a big team of Beach Buddies volunteers, so please tell everyone to come along and join in.
It will be great publicity for the Isle of Man and help to show the rest of Britain what has been achieved here by volunteers over the last 18 years. Even if you’ve not been before you will be made most welcome.
• Please try your best to come along for an hour – it would be much appreciated to show the rest of Britain what we have done in the Isle of Man.
