BEACH Buddies is again going to another new venue for a weekend volunteer event – this time to Glen Maye – on Sunday morning, February 13th (the eve of Valentine’s Day) from 10.30am.
Equipment will be handed out in the main car park alongside the Waterfall Hotel and volunteers will have the choice of going to the beach (a 10 minute walk) or through the glen.
Last week at Ballasalla (another new venue) we had 57 volunteers, including 12 who took part for the first time, collecting an estimated 200kg of rubbish from around the glen and village.
If you’ve never been before come along and give it a go. You will receive a friendly welcome and go home feeling better about the world! Families are particularly welcome.
